The Whirlwind TLT Cable Tester (Test Line-True) is specialized equipment designed for True One® 3-pin cables. These battery-powered continuity testers conveniently detect cable conditions that are difficult to identify without applying hazardous high voltage. Each of the three conductors is tested for continuity, shorts, or incorrect connections.

Testing cables is as simple as plugging them in. The TLT features three green and one red LED to indicate proper wiring or any fault conditions. Operation is straightforward and requires no technical expertise.

A correctly wired cable will illuminate all three green LEDs. The ground wire LED lights up before the neutral and hot wire LEDs, confirming that the ground connection is made first and broken last.

The Whirlwind TLT is powered by a single 9-volt battery housed within the unit. To install or replace the battery, remove the 6 housing screws and place the battery in its compartment. When reassembling the housing, use only the original screws. Avoid using longer screws as they may puncture the battery. The TLT includes a battery test button to verify the battery's capability to properly test cables. When pressed, the ground LED illuminates, indicating normal battery operation.
